Sacrament of Confirmation
Confirmation is a Catholic Sacrament of mature Christian commitment and a deepening of baptismal gifts. It is one of the three Sacraments of Initiation for Catholics. It is most often associated with the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Youth who are in 7th grade or above, who have received the Sacrament of Baptism and Communion, may enter the Confirmation program through our active Youth Ministry Program. Confirmation preparation lasts two years and students are confirmed at the end of 8th grade (or above). Junior High School Jr. Youth Group, Catechetical & Confirmation Classes and High School Youth Group and Confirmation Classes are held on Wednesdays from 7:30pm-8:45pm. Contact pyc@stjamespetaluma.org for information.
Adults who have not received the Sacrament of Confirmation should contact the St. James RCIA program: RCIA@stjamespetaluma.org
